Your questions, answered

Before you
take the next step.

Understand the basics, the costs and what happens after your estimate.

Do I need a phone call to request invoice finance quotes?

No initial phone call is required. Jim guides you through sharing information and requesting quotes online. You can also share information through chat, WhatsApp, text or email. Providers may need further information or checks before making an offer.

Is an estimate a lender quote?

No. An estimate uses stated assumptions. A lender quote relates to your case and may still carry conditions. Neither automatically confirms approval.

Could my business qualify?

Invoice finance commonly serves businesses invoicing other businesses on credit terms. Suitability depends on your business, invoices, customers and provider appetite. A small or occasional requirement needs a suitability check; an estimate does not establish that a provider is available.

What does it cost?

Charges can include service fees, a discount charge on funds drawn, minimum fees and setup or other charges. Ask what each charge applies to, over what period, and whether additional costs apply.

What information might providers need?

Requirements vary by provider and stage. They may include business details, accounts, outstanding invoices, customer information and your funding requirement. You should be told what is needed and why before supplying it.

Who contacts my customers?

Check the collection and disclosure arrangements in the proposed facility. Do not infer them solely from the product name.

What if a customer does not pay?

Your responsibilities depend on the agreement. Invoice finance does not automatically remove non-payment risk. Ask about recourse, any bad-debt protection and its exclusions.

Can I switch provider?

Alternatives can be explored, but notice, termination costs, security and transfer arrangements need checking before you make a commitment.

How quickly could funding be available?

Setting up a facility requires assessment and information. Timing depends on the provider and your case. Funding against accepted invoices after setup is a different stage from initial approval.

Will there be a credit search?

Check requirements vary by provider and stage. An estimate is not credit approval. Before progressing, ask which checks the provider requires and how they will be recorded.

What is a Decision in Principle?

In this journey, the label is reserved for an expressly confirmed conditional lender decision, subject to stated requirements. A Compare-generated illustration, indicative rate or email request does not create that decision.

Is the emailed rate table a personalised quote?

No. It provides indicative provider information with a review date and assumptions. A detailed lender quote needs further information about your case and is not guaranteed by submitting an email address.
